BIT BOUT US…

So, we think its only natural cause you wana’ eat our cookies- you want find out a bit bout us too! Im Sophie- and me and my boyfriend Finn make absolutely banging cookies. But we didn’t start as bakers. Nor did we intend to be! (A very, very happy accident)

Ive always been a budding entrepreneur and willing to set my hand to anything- so when I went vegan 8 months ago, I was on a mission to make the perfect cookie. Id always been obsessed with cookies and had tried literally every single supermarket brand, and needed to not only veganise the cookie- but make it even better than its non-vegan friends. Maple & Dough was started in our garage at home in the winter of 2020. Me and Finn, both creatives (Im a nail technician and Finn is a musician) couldn’t work, so we decided to do something about it, and started playing about making cookies. Finn , after trying many of my failed bakes started to notice them getting better and better and suggested we sell them. I , at the time, had 2 businesses and wasn’t sure on taking another one… but we did it anyway, and now after thinking it would be a side hustle- is our full time hustle !

After a bloody brilliant launch- we realised this was going to grow just a tad quicker than we had intended. Our postal orders were going mad and as soon as we could get outside we were doing a market every weekend to try and save up for a shop one day which was a huge pipe dream at the time…

Fast forward a year later- One popped up, and we took it! We have been in our wonderful shop for ONE WHOLE YEAR and cannot thank you guys enough, both UK wide and local, for either popping in an order online or coming to see us and our fantastic team at our shop. We feel absolutely blessed to be making cookies every day (and eating them- living the DREAM)
